Apology from Desperate Housewives Producers and ABC Network?
If you haven’t been reading any Pinoy Blogs lately, then there’s a chance you still haven’t heard of the latest buzz on the Desperate Housewives racial slur on Filipinos. It seems, a lot of Filipinos were offended by a comment by one of the cast of the show.
The exact quote was:
“Okay, before going further, can I check these diplomas cause I would just like to make sure that they’re not from some med school in the Philippines.”
And just early this morning, the producers of Desperate Housewives and ABC Network issued an apology for the comment saying “The producers of Desperate Housewives and ABC Studios offer our sincere apologies for any offence caused [by the insulting remark] in the season premier”. Apologies accepted.
