ABS-CBN Christmas Station ID 2009 – Bro, Ikaw ang Star ng Pasko Video

With Christmas fast approaching and the incidents that transpired in the past several months, I find the latest ABSCBN’s Station ID very fitting. The lyrics itself is pure genius. This is a must watch!

It’s simply heart warming to see that amidst problems and difficulties, we can rise above them with the spirit of Bayanihan. But the part of the song that really hits me is that in our capitalistic generation, Christmas has been transformed into a commercial event and that we forget that the true center of Christmas is Christ, our Lord, our Savior, our Everything.

Thank you Lord for you are my everything. :)

    Tama ka jan kapatid. Sa totoo nga lang, napaiyak ako sa kanta. Although, I was singing din naman kasi so feel na feel ko talaga yung lyrics. Very very inspiring. Salamat kapatid. Merry Xmas din! :D

    It is not unthinkable. If you listen to ABS CBN and then also to GMA, you will see the very GREAT difference in reportage, especially in the slant. Korina was hyping up the round up of the media like it were the greatest disaster on earth worthy of 48 hours on CNN.

    They have several Christmas radio stations (rock, country, jazz, classical, etc), it is free, and it adjusts based on what you like. If you like a song, you can give it a thumbs up and it plays more like it.

    Christmas is a religious holiday, and I think it’s appropriate to play Christmas music during this time. I think NPR does a good job of broadcasting music from all cultures and religions, not just Christianity, and I am not offended. I might add that I don’t consider myself a feminist, just a fan of NPR.

    Maybe the difference is the close-knit relationships they have and how they celebrate it, not only with the family or relatives but with strangers, too, who happen to come passing by. The hospitality is at the forefront of their merry-making. They prepare a feast and everyone joins in the preparation. Everyone partakes of the preparation, too.
