This is kind of late but here are the winners for the Philippine Blog Awards! I won an award and a lot of Cebu Blogger’s Society members were bagging awards left and right. Haha. Anyway, the night was fabulous. Thanks for the all support guys!

It was a glamorous night as I got to meet friends from Manila whom I don’t see very often. I also got to meet a lot of the bloggers who I haven’t met personally. And of course, the best part were the awards! Haha. Cebu Bloggers Society were bagging awards left and right!

Cebu Blogger Society members Sinjin, Obnoxious Queer, Focal Glass, Beyond the Norms and myself won a Globe Digital Tribe award. The Chikka Readers Choice Award was bagged by fellow CBS Member Sinjin and the Best Visayan Blog was awarded to Clado of Dahong Laya. For the Philippine Blog Awards Main Award, our very own Cebu Blogger’s Society won the Visayas’ Bloggers’ Choice Award! Woohoo. Congratulations to all the winners!

Great and exciting news guys! Our Experience the C2 Life music video won in the recently held C2 Best About Life Music Video Contest! In short, we won! Yey! All thanks to your support! The music video was of course created and produced by Peter Mancao and Angelo Agojo.

The awarding was held in SM Mall of Asia hosted by Nikki Gil and fellow Myx Vj Monica. Several bands played and rocked the evening including Imago and Kyla. The top 10 entries were introduced during that night and the top 3 winning entries were unveiled.

The grand prize was P150,000 in cash and P20,000 worth of C2 drinks.

People of Bacolod flocked the Grow Negosyo Business Expo and Trade Fair last May 29 to 31, 2009. The event demoed a lot of different businesses and livelihood programs. Aside from the education and learnings, prizes were constantly being given away. Globe gave away lots of free phones, Mr Vladimir Gonzalez raffled off a brand new food cart and lots more. I even got a free Tattoo wireless broadband, thanks to Globe.

Final Thoughts:

I enjoyed the 3 day event very much and learned a lot too. I now understand how to make different candle designs. Haha. The silk screen T-shirt printing was pretty cool too. Most importantly was featuring different businesses. In the Road Map to entrepreneurship, we have to go through the process of opportunity seeking, opportunity screening and then opportunity seizing. There are endless opportunities that we can take advantage of, we just need to open our eyes and and seize them.

Thanks to two highly creative and aggressive companies, Little Big Details and Dream Solutions, for organizing this event with the mission of promoting grassroots entrepreneurship in the Philippines. This was supposed to be an Asus PC Fair which will be held on May 14-24, 2009; but to make it more meaningful, they decided to have a competition on Overclocking skills using the top hardware from the different brands. This is also a ASUS Ultimate PC Fair which will be at the SM City Cebu Atrium (Near Kameraworld).

What Exactly is Overclocking?

So what exactly is Overclocking? Basically it’s the process of running a computer component at a higher clock rate (more clock cycles per second) than it was designed for or was specified by the manufacturer, usually practiced by personal computer enthusiasts seeking an increase in the performance of their computers.

For most, overclocking is really being used by enthusiasts who regularly upgrade their hardware. It’s cheaper because they can purchase a slower, cheaper component and overclock it to the speed of a more expensive component. I’d love to master overclocking myself. Haha.

The Sinulog 2009 Short Film Festival Winners Awards Night was held last January 31, 2009 at SM Cinema 2 and it was marvelous. The event showcased Cebu’s top video cinematographers and their respective Sinulog short film creations.

The Oscars like trophies for our talented Cebuano and Cebuana cinematographers.

Cebuanos watched the Nominees for The Short Film Festival Awards.

The event was hosted by Cebu’s best Vince Escario and Miss Cebu 2008 Sian Maynard.

Remton Siega Zuasola winning the 2nd Best Picture award with his film Humamai.

Charmaine Cagang winning the 3rd Best Picture award with her film Sinulog.

For those who doesn’t know, the Philippine Blog Awards 2008 has started and the awarding night is fast approaching too. The Philippine Blog Awards is an annual event that aims to recognize notable Filipino-owned blogs in their different categories. My blog was actually nominated for the Personal Blog category. =)

Aside from the blog winners in their specific categories, there is a special category which is the Blogger’s Choice Award which is decided by votes. The best part is by voting, you don’t only support your favorite blog but you also get a chance to win a brand new Nokia N82. The catch is you need to be a fellow Filipino blogger to vote! =)

My Vote goes to Batang Yagit

I know a lot of bloggers that were nominated for the award and a lot of them are my friends but my vote clearly goes to Batang Yagit. Why you say? Well, first of all, I know Batang Yagit personally and I can really say that he is not as Yagit as he claims to be. Haha. On the contrary, he is very professional just like his blog.

Also, I consider the blog’s brandability very important. And I think the Batang Yagit brand speaks for itself. It’s fun, comic and easy to remember. Actually, its not really easy to remember but it’s hard to forget! Haha. =)

Aside from the cool blog, the blogger is where Batang Yagit excels. He is a witty and hardworking programmer which is great in his craft. Very friendly and loves to eat but still stays in shape! Haha. Really great guy so you should definitely vote for him now! =)

Here are the pictures of our Mini bloggers EB. Sorry if medyo na delayed. I had to make up for the classes I missed for attending the Bench Blackout show. Anyway, click away for the complete pics!

First of all, thanks to everyone that attended our little get together, bloggers and non bloggers alike. It was so much fun finally meeting up with you guys.

These were the early birds. We had the mini-EB at Dencios instead of Gerry’s Grill. No where in sight yung Gerry’s! Marhgil and Shella actually almost ordered at Pizza Hut since they were already hungry looking for Gerry’s. Buti nalang nagka text kami. Haha. Mga bloopers nga naman.

Ederic, Allen and Fjordan also had a hard time looking for Gerry’s. Oh, ako din pala! Hirap nga naman hanapin yung wala! Haha. Actually there was in fact a Gerry’s Grill in Megamall, but it seems they closed it down na. Good thing we found a good alternative.

But anyway, seriously, I would like to personally thank everyone who attended the event. Ambo, Marhgil, Shella, Ederic, Allen, Fjordan, Gab and Ronald! Thanks for the laughs and tips! For those that wasn’t able to attend, next time naman! Hehe.

Oh and a very special thanks to Allen for dropping me and Ambo to Makati. It was good that you keep a map in your car, or else we would have had a hard time looking for that Condotel! Hehe.
