I’m a big fan of Mac. Maybe because of the cool icon dock, or maybe because of the smooth interface it provides but what can I say, I need windows to run all my applications.
Good news! Since reformatting my laptop to xp, I had a fresh computer which I can play around with and I installed a cool Mac Simulator called FlyakiteOSX. I want to share the great experience!
FlyakiteOSX is a transformation pack. It will transform the look of an ordinary Windows XP+ system to resemble the look of Mac OS X. The installer simply automates the process of replacing critical system files, setting registry tweaks, and installing extras such as cursors, sounds, visual styles, etc.
In case you are not happy with the results of FlyakiteOSX, everything is completely removable. Just run the uninstaller from the Start Menu or from Add/Remove Programs.

I just love the new interface! It transforms everything into Mac OS including icons, mouse pointer, themes and even the sounds. And of course, the Mac Wallpaper is there. But you can easily change each set up with your desired preferences.
For the Mac OS Dock which is found at the bottom of the screen, FlyakiteOSX utilizes either of the two Dock Programs:
RKLauncher
ObjectDock
These are separate programs that are integrated into FlyakiteOSX to fully complete the Mac Experience.
Download FlyakiteOSX over at osx-e.com
How do you guys like it? I just love it!

Just recently, I was sent a new HP Pavillion Laptop from the US. It comes with Windows Vista packaged into the system. Some of friends love the new Windows Vista but personally, I hate it. I just can’t find my way around the darn thing!
I decided to reformat it to Windows XP Professional so that I can install most of the softwares out there. But what about the drivers? HP provides a recovery disk with all the drivers but they are all for Windows Vista. That’s where Everest comes in.
Basically, Everest is an application that shows hardware information of your PC or laptop. It will show you the exact chipset name or product number of your hardware.

Here you can see a screenshot of the program showing my motherboard details. And you can also find the exact name of your hardware devices. Take for example my Wireless Adapter: Everest shows that I have an “Intel 3945ABG PRO/Wireless Network Adapter”. So what I will do is do a Google search on “Intel 3945ABG PRO driver” or “Intel 3945ABG PRO xp drivers”.
It’s that easy. Now, I have my HP laptop fully functional and running Windows XP.

The downside of this is that you have to search each drivers one by one. Well, at least you got your computer running, right? What do you think?

I recently saw this article from The Onion talking about the iPhone’s new features. Currently set to be released in June 29, Apple’s iPhone has already set one of the biggest buzz for an iconic phone’s release. Check it out.
I hope by the time you get to the lightsaber part, you’d have already guessed that this was intended as a joke. If not, the free iPhone hat is a dead give away. Pretty hilarious too. What do you think? Any comments?

Apple finally announces the release of it’s popular new device, the iPhone. After the announcement of Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs on this little gadget last January 9, 2007, a lot of people has already been up to their toes waiting for this gadget.
I’m actually excited because I plan to get it myself. The cool device really looks promising, the only concern I might have is the difficulty in SMS or texting messages. The iPhone doesn’t have keypads, it’s all touch screen. It might be cool, but it might take time for me to send SMS.
This iPhone is being packaged by Apple as the next best iPod from the iPod series because of obvious reasons… it’s an ipod and a phone.
I guess we’ll just have to see. I really might consider getting an iPhone if the SMS feature is not too complicated. How about you guys? What do you think?
