Useful Web 2.0 Designs and Techniques
Web 2.0 has been all the rave on web designs and is considered as the next generation style of making web pages. Even blogging theme designs has gone to that road with the popularity of new magazine style wordpress themes.
It’s awesome and you want it too. But paying for an exclusive theme design could be a big turn-off especially if you’re just starting out your blog, right?
No worries! Modify your own theme and add these useful and cool Web 2.0 designs and techniques.

The Slider Effect
This technique is very popular but is best demonstrated by Nick La. An element of your webpage, if triggered with an event like MouseOver can slide in real time without loading the whole page.

Javascript Tooltips
Javascript Tooltips basically shows a picture or text beside your mouse cusor whenever you highlight a ‘thing’ on your webpage. Awesome, right?

Tabbed Contents
This can be commonly seen in magazine style themes. It creates a tab that partly loads by itself when clicked as not to reload the whole webpage.

Thickbox
This technique is commonly used in showing portfolios. What it does is turns the whole page dark and shows the image or file in the center of the screen for a certain event like clicking the image. Here is a demo to see it in action.
