Ticao Island Tourism in Masbate

I’m back and I’m loving it. I also love the new PR4 Google has given my site. Anyway, I’ve been busy with Modeling this summer and went out of town to Ticao Island in Masbate for a tourism promotion of the virgin island. What can I say? The place rocks!

I joined and even won the first ever Mr and Ms Ticao Island Tourism as part of the island’s promotion. It was a nationwide search and there were contestants from all over the Philippines including Manila and Cebu.

The place was exceptionally great. Great white sands and crystal clear water. And to top it all off, Ticao Island is known for being a Manta Ray Sanctuary. You can actually dive with the Manta Rays . Very cool!

The place still has a lot of room for improvements though, and the best area they could improve on is the ease of access. It took an hour for us to ride the pumpboat to the island and another hour of land trip to get to the resort. Also, a majority of the island still needs development.

Surprised about the Mulawin costume? Haha. Anyway, this was some of the different attires we had to be in for the contest. Aside from winning the contest, I also won the best in swim wear segment. But I won’t be posting that picture since this blog is for all ages. Haha.

Of course, there were also a lot of media with us for the promotion. Several of the major sponsors were Trans Asia Shipping Lines, which we boarded on the way to Masbate and back to Cebu, Psalmstre New Placenta, Sunstar Newspaper, ABC-5 and GMA-7. A big thanks to the sponsors.

At this moment, we were just enjoying our trip inside the restobar of Trans Asia with Sunstar Editor Roger Serna. Very excited to get home.

Alright, fun is over. It was a great experience and a cool summer get away. Ticao Island is definitely one place you guys should try if ever you want to have a peaceful vacation away from everything else.

Having won the event, I got myself a hefty P15,000 grand prize but of course, the friends and networks I’ve made along the way are definitely the real treasure of my trip. Very cool
