Gear and Glam 2009 Grand Prix Fashion Show

Gear and Glam Grand Prix, the sequel to last year’s fabulous and ultra successful cars and fashion show has once again wowed the whos-who of Cebu and the A-listers in SM Northwing.

The collection of recognized designers of Fashion Council Cebu paired with rare luxury cars of the Performance and Classic Car Enthusiast upped the luxury factor of the show to the highest level. Not only can you hear the engines of the car, you can even smell the luxurious combustion of the engines, ala Grand Prix.

Cary Santiago’s crocheted periwinkle shifts on Elvira Stehr and Fern Medequillo with the 1952 Triumph TR 2 owned by Bobby Aboitiz.

Arcy Gayatin’s jersey romper and pantsuit on Angel Luzano and April Duenas with the 1955 Porche 550 Spyder owned by Glenn Soco.

Salavador Malto’s goddess dress on Stephanie Senires and fitted linen suit on Marc Arens with the 1960 Chevy Corvette C 1 owned by Darren Deen.

Oj Hofer’s white dolman dress on Giebeth Goking and white shirt and trousers on myself with the 1966 Mercedes Benz 190 SL owned by Bobby Aboitiz.

Philip Tampus’ crocheted suit and dhoti pants on Blui Arriola with the 1970 Porche 911E owned by Jay Aldeguer.

Jun Escario’s architectural shifts on Jo Alburro and Christine de Gracia with the 1965 Jaguar Kougar 3.8S owned by Grand Benedicto.

Albert Arriba’s breaded frocks on Mai Honorio and Blinky de Leon with the 1965 Chevy Covette Stingray owned by Darren Deen.

Philip Rodriguez’ 3 piece gunmetal silver suit on Marco Aranas with the 1988 Ferrari 328 owned by Mr. Kenneth Cobonpue.

Philil Rodriguez’ lace romper on Matet Giorgonio.

Matet, Marco, Blui and Me for the curtain call.

People in SM Northwing gather up for the show.

A-listers and Members of the Performance and Classic Car Enthusiasts Cebu.

The show was fabulous and really inspires my love for classic and vintage cars. My favorite would be the 1988 Ferrari 328 and the 1965 Chevy Corvette Stingray. You can see the cars as they were displayed in SM Northwing after the fashion show. Were you able to watch the show? :D

Hi Llenov, the white one is actually a 1970 Porche 911E owned by Mr Jay Aldeguer. And yes. Hanep. Haha.

well from your details I’m not completely sure if you’re going to be in it as in walking as a model and rocking all these different looks, because if so then you won’t have time for make up changes.

Cute girls.Rent the hall of a community centre/art gallery and use their sound equipment and lighting. Instead of having to build a runway, you could get models to model around seated guest tables instead.

Great show, great classic-look machines. My favorite here is 1970 Porshe 911. That is a real beauty!

I live in a small first floor flat so they take up a large portion of the living room but a larger part of my heart. I love the way they greet me every morning and when I get back from work. My little boy says that they are only coming to get fed but I don’t beleive that for a minute!

It’s relatively unimportant to history. However, since you have to pretend that it is, just discuss the differences between classes’ clothing, the difference of religious leaders clothing, and the changes seen in mens clothing versus women’s clothing. Research various cultures, and maybe you point out unique clothing like in Korea they have the traditional han bok for various customs.

I’m going to be a freshman in high school this year and I’m really excited. But I’m also nervous, partly because I don’t want to ruin my first impression on all my new classmates by coming in with really unfashionable and ugly clothes. I really want people to like the clothes I wear and not think that I’m a loser.

I attended the first Gear and Glam at the SM North Wing last Thursday. I was lucky to be informed of the event by Noelle who sent me a message on the last minute. I was helping out with the enrollment process in our department at University and I got a message from Noelle asking whether or not I am going to the Gear and Glam event which I wasn’t aware of.
