Google Adsense has Launched YouTube Video Units

Google officially announced today the launched of the YouTube Video Units for US Publishers. This is probably one of the reasons why Google shelled out $1.65 Billion to acquire Yotube last year.

Google Adsense Video Unit

The Video Unit works by streaming relevant videos from YouTube partners on an embedded, customizable video player. Just like TheNewsRoom video, you can choose a category of videos you want to be played. Or have the videos automatically targeted to your blog’s contents. It also includes a top banner ad and text link ads which can be closed at any time.

Overall, this can be a great source of revenue especially for those who are video blogging also known as VBlogging. Although, this has not been open to non-US publishers. I’m sure they will be providing it internationally very soon.

What do you think of the new addition to the Google Adsense Family? Do you think it’s profitable?
