Nice write up, McBilly. From my personal experience, I can tell you how hard did I find it to do everything by myself without my parents and the luxuries of home, when I moved to this city for studying at 15. I have been living here for 4 years now. And I have set up my Web Design and Development company besides being a full time University Student. And apart from all that, I do dish-washing, laundry, dusting, cooking, paying the house rent and all the bills myself.

I must say, all these experiences taught me a lot and are quite the reason behind my success!

1. Do grocery shopping
-hahaha, I do that a lot when I was a kid, and we were even trained how to select good meat, and now, I actually am the one choosing what meat to buy cuz I cook. :D

2.Paying the house bills
-hmmm, that's hard, cuz my parents show us the household's monthly expenses but we never pay for them ourselves. We just discuss it at home. hehehe.

3 - Cooking, Cleaning and Doing the Laundry
-My parents love to cook, and so do I, as for cleaning, we clean our rooms when we are not to busy, and for laundry, we do it during the summer or sometimes over the school year.

4.Shopping in Public Markets
-yep, an experience every Tsinoy should have, its fun to go to Manalili, its like mini-China

5.Ride Public Transportation or Jeepneys
-waaaahahahahaha, when I was High School, I was forbidden to ride Jeepney! LOL, but now I do it a lot to scavenge for materials.

6.Opening a bank account
-waaaaahh. This is one thing I've been longing to do which I have not yet tried.

7.Negotiating over Prices
-this I have tried, but only in China. hahaha

8.Selling something on your own.
-I have done this for our school fairs and such, and a little back then, I used to sell birds which I selectively bought, buy and sell. And then during Highschool and College, I sold my pictures. hehe.

9.Earning your own money
-I did do that. And I plan to do it again.

10.Starting and finishing a personal project
-I think my best personal project is making my own Chinese Language Method of learning, I have yet to test it but no one is willing yet.

11.Overnight at a friend's house..
-Waahhh, never allowed to that.. But I have been out of the country on my own for a study tour.. Does that count?

12.One on One dates with Ma, or Pa
-yep, we used to do that, but now, I mostly hang out with both of them. But still, there is that ever present Parental barrier.

Conculsion, wow Wilford, that is a really good post. I just realized there are much to learn on how to be succesful, thanks for sharing your insights on Teenage life. :D
