Too Expensive?

I think MacBook Air is a really cool laptop. But that’s it. No real value to pay for it’s ridiculous price. And even more ridiculous is when you go for the Solid-State Drive (SSD), you basically pay more to get a faster drive but has smaller memory. WTF? It doesn’t stop there. Having only 1 USB Drive, good luck with using your external drives.

Apple MacBook Air in the Philippines

This may click big in the United States, but I highly doubt it here in the Philippines. It’s just too impractical to pay that much for a cool but useless laptop. But who knows. A lot of apple products have already clicked here in the Philippines, especially in Manila and Cebu.

Final Thoughts:

This is indeed another first from Apple and another big innovation for Steve Jobs. But It could have been better. I don’t want to be bring a laptop that needs a separate bag for all it’s addons. I guess we’ll just have to see how the market responds.

How about you? Do you find this innovation a must buy? :D

The new look is nice - some teenagers would love to have one. :)

It just depends on how you value its specs though. For someone constantly on the go and heavily into how their products look this would be worth it. I imagine it will be fairly popular around the googleplex. I would also like one for work with all those meetings. Unplugging my ThinkPad 4x a day is annoying.

People will buy this as a social statement (pa-cool effect). Personally, I won’t be buying it in the near future. Ultraslim gadgets make me nervous…

I was drooling whe I first saw in on TV but now that you’ve cleared my head with this review, I know better. I really didn’t bother checking the specs. Besides, I can’t afford it anyway!
