Vedio Could Make You a Lot of Money
Yup. Vedio could really earn you a lot of money online. Sounds good? It gets even better. 
After the success of Marghil’s first mini-SEO contest comes another keyword contest that will drive a lot traffic to your site, if implemented properly that is.
If you look at this Google Trends, the keyword vedio is searched a lot of times and even exceeds the demand for keywords like make money online and ways to make money, where my site ranks 11th at Google and 22nd at Yahoo.
As you can see in the screenshot above, vedio (the blue line) is heavily searched. But what does it mean anyway? The actual definition of vedio is actually what you define it to be. In other words, the word has not yet been defined so the possibilities are endless.
If you analyze the competition of the keywords, you have 130 million competitions for make money online and 60 million for ways to make money, while only 6 million for vedio. That means getting to the first page for vedio is a cinch!

errr who in the world would search for that word haha is that a typo for the word ‘video’ or something?
if ‘vedio’ is just a typo, you may get a good position in the SERP but the question is, what would the user do next after realizing that he typed the wrong word? 99% of the time, he will repeat his search instead of clicking the search results. well just my point of view
This is interesting indeed but a typo is a typo but I agree with Amy.
My initial reaction to a typo is to correct it and search again.

About their comments, abangan na lang natin ang result when we hit the first page. Actually, it’s not a typo. If you look at the Google Trends, the countries searching for it are non-English speaking countries. So, hindi nila talaga alam ang tamang spelling ng vedio, este, video. They will click the search result when you’re in the first page. Want more proof? I will not deal with this keyword if I don’t have proof. Look at this public statistics, his web site is on the first page of vedio keyword. hehehe.
Before joining this mini-SEO contest, I did consider the initial reactions of people realizing that they typed a typo. Especially with the Did you mean Video? comment on the top of the #1 result.
But like what Marghil said, most of the countries looking for these searches are from non-english countries and might really not know the real spelling of video.
Furthermore, this is a trial and error keyword activity. Although this is not 100% fool proof, I still believe that there is a big chance for this to be successful. We won’t lose anything if we try, right?

Let’s see where this will take us. But whether this will bring in a lot of traffic or not, this is still a win-win since it will serve as a very good case study on Search Engine Optimization. Again, awesome researching man!

ok… say as if they are looking for something and typed that word, your page is number one on the SERP, they clicked the link only to find out that it’s not what they are looking for just by reading the first paragraph…they’ll do the same..search again..
uhmmm what kind of traffic are we talking about here ba hehe cause if we are just talking about some useless traffic just for the sake of saying we have lots of traffic from that word, this is not a true SEO thing…well then again, just my point of view.

Okay. Very good argument Amy. By doing this, the bounce rate of your website might increase because of the expected exit of people searching for a different content. But also take note that a lot of people doing these searches are not computer techie people and because they came from a search engine, they will be more likely to click on your ads if it was relevant to what they were searching.
But anyway, you have a point but so does Marghil. I’m going to write a new post about this. Very good observation Amy.
I rest my case on this one.. my point of view of blogging and earning are really different from the objective of this project.
if we are talking about earning online, this could generate lots of income, but content wise, and on the ’searcher’s’ point of view.. i dont know hehe…
i’m an IT girl, and Software Engineering tells us to be ‘user friendly’ and yes maybe that concept is not applicable when it comes to earning money online hehe…
should i change my view on this one? hmmm malapit na hehe
Ahahaha. Well, I am also an IT person but aside from being a computer guy, my business-minded side tells me this project is worth a shot. Besides, were not doing anything wrong.
On your thoughts on earning money online, nobody cares how you do it as long as they see results. Like kumiko said, good guys finish last.
